Waste Action Project

Waste Action Project. Seattle, WA clean water enforcement, technical assistance to other organizations

WHO WE ARE:

Waste Action Project was formed in 1994, with a mission of increasing the enforcement of the Clean Water Act in Washington State, and providing technical assistance to other groups and communities in the Puget Sound basin. WAP was one of the founding organizations of the DRCC, and for the first four years of its existence, administered the Technical Assistance Grant from the EPA for the Lower Duwamish Waterway site on behalf of the impacted communities and participating environmental organizations. Currently, WAP is continuing its efforts on enforcement of the Clean Water Act, with an emphasis on storm water, and is addressing dioxin pollution, particularly in the central and south Puget Sound basin.
