NWTCC Members in Oregon
Oregon faces a vast number of environmental cleanup challenges. Luckily, many of organizations within the state of Oregon are led by committed and hard-working people. While some of our member organizations are husband and wife teams, others are well-organized coalitions with many volunteers. The challenges that each of them face may be different, but by being members of the NWTCC, all of them can overcome those challenges by learning from and supporting one another.
Some of the toxic sites our members organizations are fighting to clean up are polluted with pesticides, coal-tar, PCB's, mercury and DDT. The sites are in regions such as, the Columbia River, Willamette River, Portland Harbor, and old Union Pacific Rail yards.
