Acknowledgment of Funding and Resource Contributions to The Northwest Toxic Communities Coalition

Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition

The NWTCC is indebted to the special support it has received from the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition(DRCC).  The DRCC is one of the original organizations that fostered the grassroots development of the NWTCC.

Environmental Support Center

The NWTCC has been graciously awarded two grants from the Environmental Support Center. Funds were targeted toward the the Fall Summit 2008 (Building Community-Sharing a Vision) and Spring Summit 2009 (Creating Vital and Inclusive Communities).  As part of the second award, the NWTCC was also able to provide travel for NWTCC membership to participate in the "Indigenous Peoples Global Summit on Climate Change" in April of 2009.

Superfund Basic Research Program at the University of Washington

The NWTCC is also supported by the Superfund Basic Research Program at the University of Washington.  Funding has been provided to support for a coalition coordinator and for summit meeting venues and member travel. The unique relationship the NWTCC shares with SBRP promotes access to current research for member organizations that represent the communities affected by toxic sites.  SBRP recognizes the importance of academically and financially supporting the NWTCC, and continues to support its cause and its member organizations.

The NWTCC is always seeking funding and resource support for our efforts in helping communities and organizations clean up toxic sites.  If you would like to learn more about how you or your organization can support the NWTCC, please contact us.
