Mission and History
NWTCC was formed with a mission to “connect with and empower communities impacted by toxic waste and to share resources, information, and support for toxic cleanup efforts throughout the Northwest states.”
Founded in 2007, The NWTCC started as a way for regional organizations to gather in strength, common concern, expert knowledge, and environmental equity. Factors affecting cleanup of toxic sites are not isolated to one particular area. Many of the resources, decision making bodies, research findings, and stake-holders are spread throughout the Northwest region. The intention of the NWTCC is to help organizations find common solutions and policies that can be used for their particular needs.
